Noble Partners With Circle Financial to Integrate USDC on Cosmos Blockchain

Noble is a startup token issuance protocol that has announced that the Cosmos network’s IBC protocols will now support USDC. In a blog post, described Noble as an app-chain that is purpose-built to allow native asset issuance in Cosmos. It also supports the boundless Inter-Blockchain Communication ecosystem (IBC). Noble and Circle Financial announced Tuesday their partnership to bring USDC into the Cosmos ecosystem.

Noble stated Tuesday that this was a significant moment in the history of our ecosystem. “Cosmos has never seen a fiat-backed native stablecoin that is fully collateralized and highly liquid. Noble said that 50+ IBC-enabled Blockchains will soon be able access USDC natively via IBC for the first time in Cosmos’ history.

On Tuesday, Circle Financial confirmed the partnership and stated that they were excited to introduce USDC to Cosmos. USDC will launch on [Noble] shortly, so stay tuned for more details.

USDC will become native to Cosmos and it will be the ninth stablecoin that is natively hosted on this blockchain. USDC is currently hosted natively on Ethereum and Solana. USDC can also be bridged to Near, Fantom and Polygon. Although it was previously connected to Cosmos, it wasn’t hosted in a native way. Noble claims that the new native support will overcome any bridging difficulties.

Noble explained that this integration would catalyze hundreds millions of dollars of liquidity over the next months in Cosmos and will attempt to address the problems users and appchains have when interacting with bridged asset. Noble and Circle have not yet revealed the launch date. However, Noble said that additional announcements regarding asset integrations will be made, including the official launch of USDC on Noble.
